1995
  • 1988: Original survey monument information was stored in Microstation CAD format. These monuments were of the NAD83 format.
  • 1995: Original survey monument information in Microstation CAD format was translated into the GIS. These monuments were of the NAD83 format.
  • 2005: Existing monuments were recalculated for the CSRS system. New horizontal coordinates from the provincial adjustment were published on March 15, 2005. Additionally, vertical adjustments to the vertical datum (providing "Mean Sea Level" or spirit level based elevations) for Metro Vancouver areas were published on March 15, 2005 . A new geoid and height corrector surface was republished on March 15, 2005.
  • 2008: In keeping with the previously announced (2000) geodetic control monument classification and retirement scheme; BMGS continues to review the control monuments on the provincial database and "retire" monuments. This scheme is now being rolled out province-wide starting in April 1, 2008
  • 2013: High Precision Network monuments were identified and flagged via an HPN attribute.

Maintenance

GeoBC/Mascot will submit an email notification to the GIS department indicating a large scale update or a small scale update. Affected monuments must then be downloaded from the Mascot website and updated in the GIS.
